Digital sports producer, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

    The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette seeks a digital producer to join our sports department. The digital producer creates content targeted toward the web, including but not limited to crafting daily newsletters with links to local content, writing blog posts and keeping up with breaking news. The ideal candidate will have an eye for potentially viral content and be savvy enough to capitalize on it. Social media skills are a must, and a deep understanding of Facebook (including live video), Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram are crucial to this position.

    The successful candidate will have:
    - Bachelor’s Degree
    - Experience in a professional news environment
    - Demonstrated ability to work in a deadline driven environment with consistent success in meeting or beating assigned targets
    - Knowledge of website analytics to monitor performance and continually identify opportunities for improvement
    - Strong computer proficiency with a content management system and Microsoft Office Suite as well as current social/digital media platforms
    - Ability to work collaboratively with a team and be self-motivated
