The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is seeking a digital producer to join its sports department.

An Associated Press Sports Editors Top 10 digital honoree in 2018, the Post-Gazette is the leading voice when it comes to sports in Western Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate for this position would create content geared toward the organization's digital audiences, including but not limited to quick-hit breaking news stories and social media aggregation, and assist our digital desk with nighttime editing and publishing when necessary. Knowledge of social media and a deep understanding of those platforms are a must, and strong editing/writing skills are crucial to this role.[IMG]

    The successful candidate will have:
    - A bachelor’s degree
    - Experience in a professional news environment
    - Knowledge of website analytics to monitor performance and continually identify opportunities for improvement
    - An ability to work with a team and be self-motivated

Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, resume, three work samples and links to relevant social media accounts to Assistant Managing Editor/Sports Tyler Batiste at tbatiste@post-gazette.com with "Digital Sports Producer" in the subject line.
