Differences between Brits & Americans.

    My favorite was that the U London library (the big fascistic cocklike structure that was supposedly Orwell's inspiration for the Ministry of Truth) had a pub in it. Sipping on a nice cool glass of bitter and reading Dickens in a tweedy little academic pub...that's a damn fine cultural experience.

    No, the Brits can bullshit better than the Americans and sound convincing.

    And a bottle of wine per person at a 6 hour dinner party doesn't equal "big time drunks."

    That works out to about a glass of wine per person per hour.

    Now, if it was three bottles of wine per person, you'd probably have a point.
