The former MTA chairman didn't find it 'appropriate' to shut down train lines for the kitties, but Anthony Weiner said he has a 'detailed saving-kittens-off-the-track policy.' Other mayoral hopefuls such as Christine Quinn and Bill Thompson also said they would have rescued the felines.

The editors at the Post just kicked a cat and they know why.

Those kittens were portrayed as innocently as possible. Pictures -- regardless of how recently they were taken -- or them were released that showed them looking young, cute, sweet and innocent.

Contrast that to the picture of Lhota. It is an extreme close up of his face. He is not smiling, and looks a little mean.

There are other photos of those kittens that don't portray them as innocently. And, if they are released, there will be push back against their release, because they will disrupt The Narrative™, and that will be unacceptable.

    Would they ever return?
    No they'd never return
And their fates would soon be learn'd
    There would be splattered cats
    Neith the streets of Brooklyn
By the train that wasn't defered

Why are these kittens getting attention? What about all the other kittens who are killed by moving vehicles each day? They didn't have a PR person pushing their story.

I thought this was going to be the start of an epic YF-shot glass feud.
