Did you celebrate Cinco de Mayo appropriately?

That's how the French celebrate all of their holidays. By shrugging their shoulders and letting other people celebrate in their towns.

    We don't celebrate...we smoke.

A few bottles of wine and a Julie Delpy movie marathon.
(btw, Julie Delpy: 43 years old, still insanely hot)
After a few bottles when they get good and liquored up they go around beating the crap out of anyone who mispronounces the word croissant.

I do not like it in a sink,
I will not eat it with a skink.

Still consider it one of the highlights of my decade on the news side: Convincing a ME and EE from the Midwest that Cinco de Mayo was NOT Mexican Independence Day.

It's a regional holiday in Mexico, sort of like Patriots Day is in the United States. Kids get out of school and businesses close down in one or two states and that's about it. Unless you're in New England, you're not observing Patriots Day and unless you're in the state of Puebla, you're really not observing Cinco de Mayo in Mexico.

People in America need another excuse to consume massive quantities of booze.

So much of our society revolves around drinking it's kind of frightening.
