Did we just have an earthquake?!

I heard a report on WTOP about people calling about the ground rumbling. My wife felt it too, said it scared the shit out of her (she's home sick today) - said she thought a truck had hit our house.

So maybe this can be a running NoVa/DC (non-political) earthquake thread...

No damage, right? Just a little rumbling?

The population of Northern California is laughing at you.

We put up with the humidity/severe T-storms and the occasional hurricane/tornado so we don't have to deal with earthquakes!

They can laugh all they want. I'm fine with that.

We had two within two weeks or so. People are thinking a big one's gonna hit sometime soon.

I felt nothing to the south of DC, but it is flat where I sit.

Nope, was the nuclear reactor under the Pentagon having an incident. Enjoy!

Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and now maybe Va too? This seems to be the month for earthquakes in places that normally don't get earthquakes.

The story makes reference to construction at Ft. Belvoir, but that's really not near us. The towns they list are in the west and southwest of the Beltway, while Belvoir is straight south.

    A 1.8?

Dude, you can get a 1.8 from sneezing. Tell Mrs. Hustle to buck up.
