    Given who made the original post, I'm assuming this didn't actually happen and he's just asking hypothetically to try to lead to some sort of point?

    Hazing is consensual, no matter how far wrong it might ultimately go.

    I had an English teacher who would throw something resembling a Koosh ball at the person she wanted to answer a question. If you were paying attention, you caught it and would throw it back. If you weren't paying attention, it would hit you in the head and everybody would laugh... It shamed you into paying attention and was incredibly effective.

    I told that story to a friend of ours and was told, "I'm surprised she wasn't fired..."

    It's a different world today.

    The Washington Post is going to follow this up with a piece on how Obama, as a high school student, would heal the sick by singing them Al Green songs.

    I wouldn't really have a problem with this being written if someone was doing a bio on Romney or something like that, but sending a reporter to Michigan to do this kind of story strikes me as being pretty bad.

    It was 47 years ago. That's a long way to dig for some dirt.
