Did Michigan get shafted by Tressel's abstaining from the vote?

South Carolina was 7-5 ... does that merit top 25 status? Seriously?

No, but since South Carolina beat Clemson and Tee Bowden voted Clemson 25th, it does slightly raise an eyebrow.

South Carolina is NOT USC anywhere but in the South.

    Abstention is understandable.

    That, though, would be criminal.

I will not make any comment about dumb southerners who think USC is in South Carolina.

I may be reading way too much into these tea leaves, but I wonder if Schnellenberger did that to try to help the Cardinals. Either that, or Howard's smoking something other than tobacco in his pipe nowadays.

Also, is anybody shocked that Dan Hawkins only ranked Boise State No. 7 in his poll? I'd have figured he would have had his old team higher than that.

Did I hear right that Pete Carroll didn't vote either? Can anyone confirm that?

According to the USAT posting of the final vote, Carroll not only didnt vote, but doesnt have a vote. Cant speak for the Harris Bowel
