Did Jim Mora Jr. say what I think he said?

OK, so I was listening to ESPN Radio in the 10 minutes it took me to get from home to work today, and the guest host of the Herd was talking about Jim Mora Jr.'s comments to a Seattle talk show, where he apparently said that his dream job is the University of Washington and if they ever wanted him he wouldn't care if he was in the middle of a playoff run, he'd be there.

I turned it on right in the middle of them playing that audio clip. Umm, isn't talk like that counterproductive to his current job?

I just heard the same clip on Fatcesa and the Idiot while I was in the car...un-fucking-believable!

On the day before his team plays for its playoff life against the Cowboys, this moron calls a Seattle radio station -- HE MADE THE CALL! -- and says if the Washington job comes open "I'll be right at the front of the freaking line with my resume in hand."
The host says "If you were available, of course. Suppose you're just coming off the Super Bowl with the Falcons, what would you do?"

Mora: "I don't care if we're in the middle of a playoff run. That's the one job I want if for some reason Ty (Willingham) should decide to move on."

Guess he knows the Falcons aren't making the playoffs and he's getting canned. And if he didn't already know, I'd say he just sealed his own fate.
    What a jackass.

I was back in the car again, listening to NFL Radio (God bless you, Sirius) and those guys had Mora on to explain himself.

    His excuse?

    I'm juss keeeeding!!!!

Is that something you really want to joke about at this point in the season?

And of course, they brought on Patrick Kearney afterward, who defended Mora. What would you expect the guy to do?

If I were Arthur Blank, following the season, I'd look at Mora and say, "You like the Huskies that much? Go see if Willingham needs a defensive coach."

In D I-A football, you never have to worry about making the playoffs.

    Bullshit.

In that same quote, he said he was dead serious.

Moron to the nth degree. Like father, like son.

What's that? Playoffs?!? Don't talk about playoffs. You kidding me? Playoffs? I just hope we can win a game.

I can't imagine Ty Willingham is very happy about those comments.

I'd say his future in Atlanta isn't worth diddly-poo.
