Did I miss a memo? (Jodie Foster's gay?)

Just out of curiosity, why does anyone care that she's gay or not?

    Silly shit.

    PC?

Yeah, right, because sexual orientation is an issue.

I just thought we weren't living in 1950 anymore.

The movie wasn't that bad, and I'm sure she was thinking ... hmmm, I can take the $15 million (or whatever her going rate is) and give it the old college try, or I can take it easy for four months while they're shooting it with someone else and be $15 million (or whatever her going rate its) lighter in the wallet.

As for her team, I thought it was generally settled years ago in the public consciousness that she was a vagitarian. Not that it mattered or that it was anyone's business.

Aren't you one of the few posters who could claim they actually did live in 1950? :D

I missed that one. Not that I cared, but I just didn't hear it.

I think people are just reacting with surprise that in this age where celebrities' personal lives are so publicy dissected, Ms. Foster has been perhaps the most famous lesbian in America for decades and it has received almost zero attention.

That part wasn't the point, but yeah, I'd say Jodie Foster is a more famous person than those two over a longer period of time.

Back in the day, they'd have called her a confirmed bachelorette.
