A 43-year-old hunter from the Oshawa area was critically injured Saturday night after his hunting partner mistook him for a grouse and shot him.

    This is unintentioally hilarious:

She said neither man was wearing the standard “hunter orange” colour typically worn by hunters to clearly distinguish them from animals.

You need an orange vest to distinguish a man from a grouse??

A ground bird. Might be a flightless one. I can't remember.

    It's like a pheasant.

You can see a picture of one on a "The Famous Grouse" scotch bottle.

    Can you spot the difference?

Clue: The "hunter" is not the white coloured animal.

The man remains in a hospital in serious but stable condition.

"He’s not out of the woods yet," a constable said.

    Well, yes and no.
