    Well-said. I think I stopped seeing it as my identity after I got married or definitely after I had my first kid. In my early-to-mid 20s, my job was defininitely what defined me, and that's not a good thing.

    I certainly am in the fool-me-once-shame-on-you, fool-me-twice... crowd. Getting dumped the first time after a productive run rocked my world for a period of time. Promised myself once I got through it that I'll never let that happen again like that.

    Learning during the down period to love corn flakes for dinner helped with that philosophy, BTW.
