Heard Ted Koppel mention this on the radio today.

A North Korean torpedo attack was the most likely cause for the sinking of a South Korean warship last month, according to a U.S. military official.

So North Korea severed all ties with South Korea.

Looks like Shin-Soo Choo might be needed.

Have no idea whose at fault but this theory has less physical evidence than our reason for going to Iraq for WMD. Look up other stories. The US and namely Hillary admit there's no evidence the Dprk did it and this all amounts to is our country saying "guilt until proven innocent."

Jambalaya, please fix your post so the points are separate.

As you can see I posted that a month ago. I haven't had time to follow this closely, but a quick search turns this up:

A joint investigation committee announced Thursday morning in Seoul that they had concluded a North Korean submarine fired a torpedo that sank the South Korea warship in March. The committee comprised of American, Australian, British and Swedish, as well as South Korean, experts.

    It continues:

Investigators had recovered a propeller from the torpedo that blew the ship, the Cheonan, in half on March 26, Yoon Duk-yong, the committee's co-chair, told reporters.

The propeller was from the kind of "torpedoes that were exported from North Korea and the letters and the fonts on the torpedo are the are the same that are used by North Korea," Yoon said at a Thursday morning press conference. ".... This torpedo was manufactured in North Korea."

    More:

The White House backed the report issued Thursday in Seoul, saying it "points overwhelmingly to the conclusion that North Korea was responsible for the attack."

    http://edition.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/asiapcf/05/19/skorea.ship/

Again, quick search. This report is 6 days old. Maybe there is something out there to refute this? I don't know.

Indians fans have suffered enough. Please don't make us watch this team without Choo.

I call on the UN to end this before our beloved Shin-Soo trades in his double ear-flap helmet for one with no ear flaps.

Otherwise, the Indians' team OPS will near the average BAC of the fans at Progressive Field.

The U.S. will wuss out, just as they always do when it comes to dealing with the North Koreans.

What exactly do you propose we do?

We or the South Koreans attack, Seoul is rubble. That's the reality. And then do you want China possibly kicking off WWIII?

What's the harm in "wussing out"? Why shed the blood of 1 American fighting this crackpot nation at this stage in the game?

Nukes are not the main concern. They have thousands of conventional warheads aimed at Seoul that would do major damage.
