    Maybe I was quoted a higher number for whatever reason, but I was told $50-55K last spring by their HR recruiter, which she said came from the hiring manager.

    I know they went young, so maybe they knocked off a few thousand from your quotte. But they had an experienced writer in there before, and he was definitely not in or near the 50s.
