I blame Kwame, but there's lots of it to go around.

On the bright side, it is impossible to conceive of a way in which the city can offer fewer or worse services than it currently offers to residents -- in schools, police, maintenance, or anything else.

Kwame wasn't the problem. Kwame was a symptom of a decades-long problem.

Do yourself a favor and watch the doc Detropia sometime.
Very well-received by critics and even the academy.
Not one line of narration in the film.

The emergency manager stressed today that city services will still be running "as usual" tomorrow. Great.

Average wait for emergency services in Detroit: 1 hour. National average: 11 minutes.

A real shining moment for the leadership, a 300-year-old city and former industrial mecca finally being brought to its knees.

thats capitalism. Turns out the American auto industry was a net loser for the country. Destroyed a city, the environment and made us dependent on Arab despots. Well done republicans.

I just hope Michigan State can go to the Final Four and make everything all right again.

Don't forget about the 40 percent of street lights that don't work!
