Despite "getting hurt on company time", Kobe will not "heal on company time"

    I would prefer he have surgery. But the fact he made the point that he did not want to miss training camp is a nice, even if unintended, jab at Shaq's selfish "I'm gonna get surgery as training camp opens" attitude that eventually led to the demise of those Lakers.

    Even if Kobe is sincere, I like this reminder of who the crybaby truly was.
