Note: While this is a part-time position, the pay is pretty good (mid $20k) -- better than entry-level, full-time jobs in a number of places. I am going to move quickly on this position, so if you are interested, apply now. This is a new position, created to help bolster our talented staff of six full-time designers and nine copy editors.

    SPORTS PAGE DESIGNER
Cox Media Group has an opening for a part-time sports designer at our West Palm Beach editing center. This center serves newspapers including the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Austin American-Statesman, The Palm Beach Post and the Dayton Daily News.

    The available position...
Requires a demonstrated ability to design sports pages on tight deadline.
Is located in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Requires a flexible schedule that will include night and weekend work.

    What we offer...
    Competitive pay.
Investment in the success of employees through training programs.
A long-term vision for the evolution of our traditional media businesses as part of a diversified company.

    To apply…
Send resume and work samples to rich.griffis@coxinc.com by Sept. 14, 2012.

  2. Looks like you are settling into your new gig, Rich. Congrats again. Now, if you could only do this remotely from a home office. . . :)
