    What I love about news reporters, and the non-sports newsroom staff in general, is that while they do deal with breaking news more often than the sports staff, whenever your average news reporter is up against a deadline, it's this huge deal, whereas in sports, working against a deadline is almost an everyday occurrence.

    Also, on a completely unrelated note, when I saw this posting, the very first thing I thought of was paraphrasing a specific movie with, "Hey Buddy, hope you find your new copy editor."

    In sports having a deadline is a great thing. I always had a bit of a rush. Didn't rush and turned in a good story.
