    It is a relief, though, that we (and the two players) won't have to endure 15 separate occasions of Jeter and A-Rod pretending they like each other.

    I could go without the six-month victory lap.
    All that's missing is a gift registry, it seems.

    But I will applaud Jeter along the way.
    He always seems to have the right stuff.

    Seems awfully selfish for Captain Intangibles to be bringing this "distraction" to his team. Everywhere they go the media crush on his team seems like it could have a negative impact. I thought a leader like Jetes would just quietly ride off into the sunset trying not to be the sole focus instead having the team be the focus.
