Doc, you insist on using a term with a heavy racial connotation even though it's definition doesn't fit the player in question. There are plenty of derogatory terms that actually apply to Cousins, but you continue to use that one. It's not a good look.

If I were racist, I wouln't be calling him a thug. But you keep trying to make me out to be one. It's a good look for you too.

Perhaps the coach should complain to his employer, which had the audacity to write this in then coach's online bio:
"Joerger and his wife, Kara, are the parents of two daughters, Alli and Kiana."

As to the journalism issue at hand here, has anyone been in the position that Cousins placed the columnist, i.e. the irate player or coach threatens to shut down all conversation if a particular journalist is within earshot? Seems to me that others can't simply fall in line with their journalistic brethren. After all, you work for your outlet and its readers/consumers. You don't work for the would-be outcast.

At least Furillo will be able to attend the next game.

So, I figured we needed a few updates to this story:
    1. Furillo switched beats after the spat with Cousins:

    2. Cousins was traded to New Orleans for peanuts. Furillo tweeted out Howard Beck's column, which said Cousins was an incredible risk: The Winner of the DeMarcus Cousins Trade Isn't Who You Think It Is

Crazy that both guys ended up switching jobs after the incident.

Yeah, that is a nice piece. Sorry man, but that guy is trash.
