"Imagine being magically whisked away to .... Delaware! Um, hi, I mean ... Delaware."

If this passes, there won't be a need for imagination.

Thanks to Bill Bradley, if you're not grandfathered in by history, you have no chance, unless they have the strength to fully repeal Dollar Bill's handiwork . . . and doubt
Fed legislators have either the numbers, or the will.

I wonder if the "mandatory parlay" thing will make this like Canadian betting on the NFL, where you fill out a card like you're playing any other lottery game and the guy at the Kwik-E-Mart runs it through the machine and gives you a ticket.

    Brilliant.

    Florida should have done this.

So you wonder, as I do, whether the Seminoles have brought it up? I mean, those cashier windows at their casinos are tailor-made to be converted to other uses, and you know with the table games now on offer Crist isn't afraid to allow it as long as he gets a big slice.

Can't wait for the first state with legalized pot and sports betting.

Within a decade, there will be at least one.

As another native Delawarean, I must point out this isn't the first time the state has flirted with sports gambling. In the 1970s, it actually sold NFL parlay cards as part of the state lottery.
For one week. The state had some lottery bureaucrat set the spreads instead of using the Vegas line. People were busing in and buying thousands of tickets, then checking off all the overlays on the cards. State lost a bundle, dropped the cards the next Monday.

If only parlay betting is allowed, this will not be nearly enough of a revenue generator to patch up a $700M hole in the budget.

How long until the AG of a state that is not on the short list of states that can take a short-cut to sports betting files a suit to declare the law unconstitutional? Article 1 Section 9 may apply here...

Article 1 Section 9? Which part? How so?
