And of the two Honda cars I've owned, I've never had to have any repair work done aside from accident damage.

    Go with the Accord.

I've got a Volkswagen and love it.

Two good friends have same and feel same. Don't know where the knock on them came from.

The Subaru wagons are good cars, if a little spendy.

Ask the woman of the house... wait. Get either one of those and that would be you -- not that there's anything wrong with that

Accord is sportier but the Camry is just too damned reliable to pass up. Camry easy.

HOLY SHIT. I AGREE WITH ZEKE. SOMEONE KILL ME NOW!!!

I voted for Accord. I've had two since 2000 -- a 96 and I now have a 2006 -- and will never buy another brand as far as I'm concerned. They've been that good.

My current model has all the bells and whistles except navigation and I_HEART_IT. Heated seats effing RULE, as does XM radio. The 6 cylinder has plenty of pop, yet the mileage -- especially on the highway -- is pretty damned good.

I can't say enough good things about Accords.

They're also the most commonly stolen cars for like a zillion years running.

    Have fun with that.

Hmmm. I'm going on eight years and nary a broken window (knock on wood).

I guess I have had fun with that.

    Voted Camry.

    Never had a Honda.

Had a Camry for 5 years (when little qtlaw came along), bought used with 17k, sold with 47k and it was still running the same as the day bought it. Great, great car. 4 cylinder, cloth, but reliable and well built.

Now have a Sienna with 2 little qtlaws and still love it. Drives the same as the day we drove it off the lot.

(For 25K, you can get a sweet, I mean really sweet, used Infiniti G35 sedan, heated seats, moonroof, bose stereo, keyless, 300 hp, everything. Repair bills will be higher, but what a sweet ride.)

    Congrats and good luck.

About the whole stolen car thing: They are stolen more often because there are more of them to steal. Can you drive on any interstate anywhere in this country and not go 5 minutes w/o seeing one.

I don't have firm facts, but I would guess that the percentage of Accords stolen compared with the number in circulation is pretty low.

  12. Re: Decision times: Accord or Camry?

That's sort of right. They are indeed stolen because there's a lot of them - but it's because the parts are more valuable. Notice older model Accords are the most stolen - because used parts are needed to replace old, broken-down parts.

    Get a Camry.

The National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB®) has compiled a list of the 10 vehicles most frequently reported stolen in the U.S. in 2005.

    1. 1991 Honda Accord
    2. 1995 Honda Civic
    3. 1989 Toyota Camry
    4. 1994 Dodge Caravan
    5. 1994 Nissan Sentra
    6. 1997 Ford F150 Series
    7. 1990 Acura Integra
    8. 1986 Toyota Pickup
    9. 1993 Saturn SL
    10. 2004 Dodge Ram Pickup
