...this is why we didn't invite you to the Big Dance.  Now, Maryland and you, can STFU, take your ball and go home.

    Sincerely,

    The NCAA Selection Committee

    Dear Syracuse,

Please win some games in December and November next year so ...

    1. You guys aren't on the frickin' bubble again.

    2. I don't have to watch you crap your pants in the NIT.

They need to leave home at least once, aside from the usual tourney at MSG, and play a legit non-conference road game.

I don't think that's happened since the halcyon days of Danny Schayes. Or was it Dolph?

On another note, as a UMass alum, I can unequivocally say there is no team in Division I that is more wildly inconsistent than the Minutemen. This is on the heels of blowing an 18-point second half deficit against Charlotte in the Atlantic 10 tourney, which ruined their hopes of a certain at-large bid. UMass also had to rally from a 12-point deficit at home against Akron (AKRON!) with 8 minutes to play in their previous NIT game.

This is a team that this season, scored 107 points in their first trip to the Dome this year, and also outplayed Vanderbilt on the road for 36 minutes, while also losing at home to Fordham and nearly losing to a horrific George Washington team in the regular season finale.

I think I'll be glad when the season's over.

Maybe Calipari will come back after Travis Ford leaves for Xavier when Sean Miller leaves for Indiana [/psychofanonacollegemessageboard]

...I still have your coach's soul from when he sold it to me in 2003. I keep it in a Ziploc.

    Sincerely,
    Satan

During my junior and senior years, SU played a home-and-home with Arizona, and my senior year they did the Great Alaska Shootout. The Orange then opened the Big East by losing at Miami, and Boeheim bitched (what a shock, eh?) about how jet-lagged his team was. Later that season, they lost to Kentucky in the championship game.

I, too, wish they'd leave the state before conference started. But the Fighting Boeheims always will eat a plate of cupcakes named Cornell, Canisius, Wagner, St. Francis, etc.
