It's a good song. If he wants to spice up the mixtape a little bit, why not throw something in there like that. I mean he could put some Marvin Gaye on there too, but hey, gotta change it up sometimes.

In Your Eyes -- Peter Gabriel (boombox optional) Ragu beat me to it.
    Question -- Old 97s
Why Don;t we Do It in the Road -- Beatles, just for S&G
    Damn Samn -- Ryan Adams
    Maybe I'm Amazed -- McCartney
Groovy Kind of Love-- The Mindbenders
If I fell -- Beatles, there are about 100 beatles songs I would use
All the Right Reason -- Jayhawks (our wedding song)

Just some suggestions. Good luck. I'm 35 but I still love making mixes. I do just for my wife, now of course.

I haven't mixed anything in more than a dozen years.

I didn't have anyone to do that for. In addition, my musical preferences don't tend to be shared by many. No point in forcing the issue.

    My dear DDown:

You know I won't steer you wrong.

For our first Valentine's Day, Boom sent me a cd. Sat in the car sobbing to Al Green, Let's Stay Together. That was 5 years ago, still makes me weepy.

I'm sure there were a couple of songs on that cd recycled from exes, which I can no longer listen to, but you can't do any better than Al Green, trust me.

As gifts go, I have a lot of swell jewelry and stuff, and I have my own money to buy what i want...but there are few things more personal and intimate than a collection of music, from the heart. Boom is the master of giving gifts I can't buy for myself. Your wife will appreciate it more than you know.

I've always thought Mazzy Star's "Fade Into You" had a haunting quality about it. But in all honesty, I'm not the brightest song interpreter. Near as I can tell, it's about long-term adulation, but there's a great chance I could be wrong.

    DD68- I don't recommend that song.

However, I do recommend Clarence Carter's Strokin'.
