Deadwood/Milch

    "I'm not dead yet."

    HBO keeps insisting that Deadwood movies aren't dead yet, albeit that slim hope keeps getting slimmer.

    Meanwhile, David Milch keeps churning out series - and this one (like Deadwood) I'll probably watch as Milch is getting back to cops.

    If HBO wanted to make them without Milch, could they? Would you Deadwood fans want that to happen? Or would you just rather see it die?

    Just curious. I can't imagine what I'd do if David Simon hadn't been able to do a fifth season of The Wire. But I can't say I'd feel comfortable with anyone else completing the story.
