All those quotes from players angry at the WSOP for not canceling yet. Um, could you just not go and maybe take responsibility for yourself?

They signed up for it. They knew the wimps of the writing world would go at them. Bat them like flies.

    Next up: cruise ships!

“Instead of the 30-day pause that Trump announced today in a pledge to keep this great and important industry going, let's take this opportunity to push the entire disgusting business out to sea and give it the Viking funeral it so richly deserves.”

Isn't real Deadspin about aggregating someone else's story but with the writer emphasizing the most important thing about that story, which is him or herself?

It's not great but it's not nearly that bad.

Addendum - One of the friction points between Deadspin and G/O Media over the years was the fact that the comment system on the site was like, super broken - it didn't let you login or even load half the time. That had been going on for years, and the Deadspin walkout was in early November. It's five months later, and I guess it'll just never be fixed, because you have writers on other sites just openly sniping at management in articles - Like at the end of a Kotaku piece on the new FF7's ending: "Now, assuming you can get G/O Media’s broken comments system to function for you, discuss! What’d you think of that ending?"

It doesn't surprise me when like, internal technical issues are left to fester forever - At past newspapers, the "tech guy" was like someone the owner knew that could hook up a couple computers. But it always amazes me when it's like, this big international company, and a very public-facing problem like this just doesn't get fixed for literally years now.

So are they gonna post revenge porn that gets The Daily Beast sued? Or is AJ Daulerio not part of this reunion?

These guys are becoming the Nigel Farage of sports media.

The world is staring down the barrel and the Deadspin folks still need their attention.

Other than David Roth, I really don't know who is longing to read any of what these guys have to say in this moment.

I'll admit I found value in Deadspin as a whole and think Roth has written better columns about Trump than pretty much anyone, but the rest of them ... meh.
