"Deadliest Catch" captain Phil Harris had a stroke?

    Wow. Missed this. Good news that he appears to be improving, though.

    He had major issues the past two seasons. One of the better 'characters' if you will on that series. Hopefully, he pulls through.

    I'm sure a steady diet of cancer sticks and coffee, plus constant stress, were no factor in Phil having a stroke.

    Hope he gets well soon, though. He indeed is one of the show's best characters. Plus, I have a longtime friend who could pass for Phil's twin - looks just like him, with most of the same bad habits to boot.

    This is the least surprising news ever. Very few of those guys really seem to take great care of themselves.

    But Phil was overweight, smoked too much, probably guzzled gallons of coffee and bad food, rarely excercised and was stressed out the wazoo. Plus, working with your kids can't help either.

    Hope he gets well, regardless of whether he does the show or not.
     
  5. One of the episodes show Phil's stock of Red Bull. One of his kids said he drank like a case per 24-hour period.
