I can't wait for the scene where Vince Lombardi makes out with a young Juliette Lewis.

They could do worse I guess. Still think it should have been Michael Rispoli (AKA Jackie Aprile Sr. in "The Sopranos").

He's already got the hat and the glasses:

I'm impressed/surprised ESPN paid to get DeNiro.

I still think this movie will suck unless a major studio gets involved. All the money they spent on DeNiro will be made up with cheap ass script and supporting actors.

Have to agree with Mizzou. DeNiro is the only guy around that you would want to portray Lombardi, but if you surround him with a shit script, lousy supporting cast and Triple-A level directing, not only will the film be seen as a flop, it will seem like a gargantuan flop because they made it suck with DeNiro in it.

De Niro's choices the last 10 years haven't given me the greatest confidence in his script-picking ability.

Almost every movie De Niro has done in the last 10-15 years has been something he did for the money and nothing else.

The NFL is listed as one of the producers. Movie sucks already

I thought his brief scenes in The Good Sheppard were great.
But nothing since Wag the Dog has been a great starring performance

Jerry Stiller was pretty good as Lombardi in those Nike commercials from the 90s.
