Watching ESPN2's Champions League coverage, a crawl just scrolled through ... "Oscar De La Hoya, 36, retires."

Is it big news when a boxer retires, even their proclivity to come back again and again?

During 24/7 for Pacquiao/Hatton, Freddie Roach asks Oscar in the ring if he was ok and Oscar responded by saying "yes, I just don't have it anymore."

He got pounded and was lucky that Manny was a small guy. A bigger man may have killed him.

He'll be in a match in November. Book it.

Oscar has never retired or hinted at it. He just fought when he wanted to fight after about 2002.

He's done, he's got too much of an ego to take another shit kicking and he promotes half the top fighters in the world so he makes a good living without the beating.

    Maybe he'll record another album.

    He's still fighting?

Man, is boxing off of my radar.
