    Big Papi could have easily told them, "$8,000 to shoot me? Hell, here's $10,000, don't shoot me."

    He could’ve just handed over his jewelry.

    Ortiz filed for divorce several years ago, but then (I think) he realized how expensive it would be and he dropped the petition.

    Perhaps she's Dominican like Teresa Heinz Kerry is African American or Régine Chassagne is Haitian. Or like my good blond-headed Army friend from El Paso, Tony, is Mexican. You never know.

    One of the suspects in court yesterday told reporters the wrong guy got shot, that the shooter ID'd Ortiz by his clothes.
