This guy is full of it. They cut plenty from editorial in most JRC shops along with the entire composing dept. Their solution to smaller stringer budgets in sports is to have parents and fans write gamers and send in their photos. They came in and made changes they said would free up more people to do more things then cut jobs just like everyone else. Most everyone from the top down at the JRC shop I worked for is just as miserable (if not more miserable from hearing "Digital First" shoved up their ass with no clear benefit) as they were before Wonder Boy showed up.

 

Anyone who could do worse in Houston than in Fresno, you gotta consider the source.
