He can bend it around his leg, but he's no Fergie

I'm not even sure Becks had the hottest wife in soccer history.

I'd put Peter Crouch's wife - Abbey Clancy - ahead of Posh.

    But both are 6s.

I don't watch soccer, but it seemed like a fair question to ask.

I don't watch soccer but I know better.

ESPN was talking nonstop about him this morning. For a network that never covers soccer, that signifies how big this is.

ESPN never covers soccer? Since when?

    Umm, what?

ESPN has a pretty significant investment in soccer.

I guess it technically covers it. But nowhere near as much as the NFL, the NBA, Major League Baseball, college football, college basketball, the College World Series, or NASCAR. I'd say it's pretty far down the list.

In other words, it gives soccer the amount of coverage the ratings say it deserves?

My gosh, you're talking about the network that paid $425 million for World Cup rights.

I guess, but that's a once-every-four-years occurrence. Other than that, it gets about the same amount of highlight time on Sportscenter as the NHL.

    Because of hype? Maybe.

    Because of talent? Nope.

Messi and Pelé would like a word with you.
