    The Joker will be back, in BB IV or V. My guess is he will be briefly referred to, but probably not seen on screen, in BB III.

    Probably with an explanation that he was further disfigured/fell into a disfiguring chemical bath in the course of his escape from jail/Arkham Asylum, which explains why he doesn't resemble Heath Ledger any more.
