My god, I didn't even wait for the image to open. Seeing one might make me puke.

    Worst foodstuff ever.

Didn't someone eat too many hot dogs in the press box there a few years back and had to be carried out on a stretcher?
    Those dawgs are deadly.

It was probably all the cigarette smoke.

Stuns me you can smoke in that press box.

Given where it is, is it really all THAT stunning? :)

Reidsville and Eden are five days a week (no Saturdays and Mondays).

I'll offer my endorsement as a Danville alum. They do good work in the sports section and you'd be sharing the office with some good guys. I understand they are scaling back the ACC coverage, but there's still more to do than the steady diet of high school stuff.

now that's a great trade off.

Nothing is definite on that yet. And besides, it really doesn't matter in this case because this isn't a writing job. So it really won't affect the person hired.

if i'm a young guy looking to add to my tear sheets, i'd rather have acc sheets than hs sheets.

    just sayin'.

Fair enough. But even if we cut back staffing the games ourselves, that doesn't mean there won't be any ACC coverage. We run AP or Media General ACC stories all the time for things we can't get to. I know for a fact that the staff-written ACC coverage will not completely stop. We have too many local players at Virginia Tech and Virginia not to do features.
