    It's funny that the Communist sports writer he opens with seems heroic. The tone is confusing. It's like he's begrudgingly knocking liberals or liberal ideas.

    A lot of good points there. If anything, I think he tiptoed around his premise a little too much.

    Some good points in there - especially about sportswriters falling in love with sports GMs, who are ironically a lot like the white upper middle class stock from which many sportswriters come.
