    Unfortunately, race does play into this. Ray Lewis is getting grilled for "not being an every day father." However, as far as I can tell, he's been involved in his kids' lives.
    Marino's love child is shocking because to many, he was the All-American guy. And he's getting a fairly free pass.

    Another factor that's being overlooked in the discussion of how this is being covered is that, much like most of his career, Dan Marino is not playing in the Super Bowl this year. Ray Lewis is.

    I had no idea Ray-Ray was chasing Shawn Kemp's record until the last couple of weeks.

    Hard for CBS to come down on Marino given that their Chairman had an affair with the CBS morning news anchor.
