Dan Fouts on play-by-play?

Has ESPN on ABC lost its mind?

Fouts and Tim Brandt in the booth. Absolutely hideous combo.

Brandt is hideous doing either play-by-play or color. They had him on a memorably hideous combination a few years ago with Ed, forget his last name ...

Because he's not holding anything back...

At least they have Keith Jackson introducing the starting lineups. A nice touch.

Actually, he's not as bad as I feared.

Ed Cunningham - and Dan should have survived the Dennis Miller debacle that was Monday Night Football.

Tim Brandt and Ed Cunningham ... there recently was another combination that we were talking about on here that was pretty bad -- I can't even remember whom they were -- and Brandt and Cunningham came to mind.

Fouts actually has a good cadence with his voice for a play-by-play guy.

I may have to revise my WTF rip job.

I believe they started him on PBP last season for Pac-10 games after Jackson finally said goodbye.

See what your complaining did? They cut to Musberger, who's butchering Iowa-Wisconsin!

    Wasn't Fouts' dad a play-by-play guy?

OK, OK, I was just scarred by visions of Brandt -- who never should've been allowed to do play-by-play -- and not wanting to see another jock do it. (Yes, I know Summerall set the table for this type of thing, but do you get my point?)
