Damn, I want some theme music

It's all about the lyrics. Everytime my phone rings, it plays my theme song and tells me I'm beautiful... who could ask for anything else!

    There's a song that goes,

    "I wanna be a balla
    shot calla
    20-inch blades
    on the impala."

    That would be mine.

So apparently mushy lyrics about a loser who is high as a kite and obssesses about a chick on the subway....that is seen as touching and not fucking weird? Apparently, you can croon, "I fuck chickens in my neighbor's coop" as long as the song includes, "You're beautiful" and women will love it.

(And, yes, if you can't already tell, that song makes me want to smash a ballpean hammer through my car radio).

I've always wondered what my walk-to-the-plate-song would be if I was a major leaguer.

Without question, it's "No one like you" by the Scorpions.

Solid guitar riffs. Cocky lyrics. All I need.

My theme song would be the theme from the Office Space movie, 'Damn it feels good to be a gangsta'

Now the next trick is to get someone to call you without leaving your number on a bathroom wall. :D

I think it's cute that the guy is on the train and sees a hot chick and writes about it.  Really, though, the part of the song I'd choose is just the chorus.

I dunno, I think there are probably other songs that I would like more, but that's the one that I got off the top of my head.

Now how is that different from the greatest love song of all time -- "More Than Words" by Extreme? A song where the guy is telling the girl if she won't sleep with him, it's all over is universally adored.

"What would you do if my heart was torn in two
More than words to show you feel
That your love for me is real
What would you say if I took those words away
Then you couldnt make things new
Just by saying I love you"

Or Uncle Cracker encouraging someone to commit adultery in a smash hit, "Follow Me":

"don't worry 'bout the ring you wear
just as long as no one knows
    Then nobody can care
    Your feelin guilty
    And I'm well aware
    But you don't look ashamed
    And baby I'm not scared
    I'm singing

    Follow me, and
    Everything is alright
I'll be the one to tuck you in at night
And if you want to leave
    I can guarantee
You won't find nobody else like me"

Or Susannah Hoffs being tired at work in "Manic Monday" cuz her unemployed boyfriend wanted some late-night luvin:

    "All of the nights
Why did my lover have to pick last night
    To get down
    Doesn't it matter
That I have to feed the both of us
    Employment's down
He tells me in his bedroom voice
C'mon honey, let's go make some noise
    Time it goes so fast
    When you're having fun"

It's all just proof that songs are however someone interprets them.

Totally agree about the Showtime Lakers' pregame theme. I'd go with that if I wasn't so enamored of the Kings' beat.
