When they were under sort-of-competent management, and were willing to spend big bucks to go for it, they made it.

Their current willingness to pander to the fan base's basest instincts and go all offense (spend money for pitching? are you MAD?) insures fail for the foreseeable.

I was driving through Dallas months ago, on the day following the Cowboys' first EXHIBITION game (or "preseason" game for those who drink the NFL Kool-Aid), and each of the first three callers on this sports radio call-in show mentioned "Super Bowl."

I'd love to be in Dallas today, just for the hilarity of seeing all those people walking around like the world has ended.

    How 'bout them Giants!

Couldn't happen to a better town. [/still bitter about the evil Dallas has presented to Minnesota sports fans dating back to 1975. Oh yeah, and Norm Green still sucks!]

The Original Hail Mary. My favorite detail is the orange that some Vikes fan threw at Pearson (just below the leaping Viking.)

Hmmm and yet, there's this play

(Nah, no hyperlink... am in a good mood today)

  8. 81 catches
    1,355 yards (5th)
    16.7 ypc (3rd)
    15 TDs (3rd)
    22 catches of 20+ yards (2nd, I think)

Terribly overvalued to be a top-five receiver?

Yes of course. I mean for all his talk he should be No.1 in every single catagory, including TDs, Kickoff return average, punt return average and QB rating.

I often wonder whether Yab gets all of his T.O. nicknames from Skip Bayless, or if they were just seperated at birth.

Dallas deserves everything it gets. And fuck Clint Longley.

    Signed, a longtime Redskins fan.

Roger Staubach agrees with the latter.

Is a weekend in Mexico with Jessica Simpson worth all that losing?
