Rich Peverley, who has had heart problems, collapsed on the Dallas Stars bench a few minutes ago. He was carted away. All players have been called off the ice.

The arena is dead silent. The announcers are too. FSSW is still carrying the feed with just empty ice and a few crowd shots.

Good news. Lindy Ruff comes out of the hall way and says Rich Peverley is going to be ok

Announcers on Columbus broadcast just relayed that info. They are saying players don't want to resume.

Not canceled, just postponed. NHL will decide whether play will resume at point of stoppage at a later date. The right decision, regardless.

Yes postponed. And let's be careful that he'll be OK. Let's get confirmation from a doctor.

The Stars say Peverley is conscious and receiving treatment. FSSW punched out of the broadcast as soon as the game was officially postponed, so I'm having to go to Twitter for updates.

Doctor speaks to media and said Peverley went into atrial fibrillation but was defibbed successfully. Said Peverley asked to go back in the game.

Similar to the Jiri Fischer collapse in Detroit in 2005. He went into cardiac arrest, but because they had defibrillators closeby, were able to save him. He ended up having to retire.

Game was also postponed. They ended up playing a full 60 minutes, but Nashville got to keep their 1-0 lead from the postponed game. Predators ended up winning 3-2.

That was positively terrifying to watch as a Stars fan.
