    Very creepy.

Why, if you leave a kid in the car on a 50-degree day while you duck in to get dry cleaning, that's child neglect/abuse.... but this isn't?

I want to know this: Where is the demand for this movie coming from that would lead to the project being given the go-ahead?

I mean, seriously... Are there people sitting around right now, thinking to themselves, "Ya know what I haven't seen in a while? A good child rape movie. Tinseltown really needs to explore the space and make it happen."

cougargirl: I've always felt the same way about Robin Wright Penn.

Looks like you might be right (sort of): http://www.nydailynews.com/news/gossip/story/436553p-367837c.html

Fanning's carefully choreographed rape scene has already been filmed. But then the production - which also stars Robin Wright Penn, David Morse and Piper Laurie - was shut down for lack of funds. Penn, who's also an executive producer, gave a pep talk to the dispirited cast in the days leading up to the shutdown. The desperate producer, Jen Gatien, daughter of former club czar Peter Gatien, sent out an SOS to New York entertainment entrepreneur Lawrence Robins. Robins located emergency investors, filming resumed, and the movie is scheduled to wrap tomorrow.

Good to see the porn industry come through in a pinch.

yeah, but because she's 12 and has to strip to her underwear, they're crossing into the area of prurient interest. The rape concept adds insult to injury.

How does one become a rape choreographer?

Could you imagine being the unfortunate guy that has to do the scene with her? Wow, talk about uncomfortable, especially if said actor has a daughter.

Based on the names listed, I'm guessing David Morse gets that duty.

It might be weird, but I think she's one of the best actresses around. My little blond sister is turning 11 soon, so I think this movie would put me in a coma. Pass.
