    Well, that didn't take long:

Actually, some people might call it "admitting a mistake."

Something the previous administration should have tried on occasion.

    1. That was indeed Bin Laden and he did press the button. He just missed by that much.

    2. That was at the height of the Lewinsky mess and Republicans were singing "Wag the Dog! No War for Monica!" in unison.

Facts are stupid things ... especially when they have a liberal bias.

Some smart letter writer to the Times a couple months back proposed moving the trial to Governor's Island, the unused former military facility in the harbor. Much easier to secure, no inconvenience to anyone, yet still in NYC.
I will only note that a nation too cowardly to bring terrorists to trial or to imprison them on its own soil is far too cowardly to ever defeat said terrorists.

Oh, please. This isn't about admitting a mistake.

If they realized it was a mistake, they would have moved it after a couple of discreet phone calls from Bloomberg and other City leaders.

They changed their plans because they couldn't stand up to the public criticism, which was about to become overwhelming.

And Chuck Schumer realized that after the Scott Brown's win in Massachusetts, he could actually be voted out of office if he didn't get this thing moved.

Only the blind partisans give a rat's ass about the politics of this move. These guys are going to have to be tried somewhere.

And if the decision deprives the screechmonkey brigade of a bullshit talking point, then that's a nice side effect.
