Kid vandalized his high school. Dad makes him wear the above sign and walk the streets for five hours (in addition to community service).

Do you like the punishment? Dislike? Have at it. I especially like hearing the parenting viewpoints from those who have no kids.

I will buy that father a drink. Perhaps several drinks. Father of the year, as far as I'm concerned.

Why isn't his old man at work?

I thought the dad was going to get the son a teacher who would sleep with him.

.. But, but, what about the kid's self-esteem?

Seriously, good for dad. And I think the court system should do it more often for crimes of that nature. One reason the Puritans had the stocks was so that the criminal could be humiliated (as well as have food thrown at him, which qualified as entertainment in the Puritan world).

Good for the dad if he thought that was the best way to get through to his kid. Humiliation, in general, however, is not a productive way to redress bad behavior, criminal or not, young or old.

Guessing he thought this was important enough to make time for.

Personally, I don't think that anyone should vandalize their children. :)

He works for FOX news? Well that changes everything....now I think he's an asshole.

Seriously, good for this guy.....but, I'm sure his original plan was to embarrass his son by having a few hundred people to see him carrying the sign, now millions know about it.
