I think that most of the people who are on record here as thinking that he's wrong are also on record as thinking that "others are as well."

I think you might have missed the blue font? Hope so anyway.

I understand it was a blue font post and that he wasn't actually supporting the father. But I didn't read it as a blue font post as far as it was calling out posters for being hypocritical.

I think Dick gets it. My point is, his rationale seems logical, maybe even laudable.

Who doesn't support a father making sure his kid is disciplined and can defend himself. It's a father's right. Right?

Then you see it, and you think maybe dad gets off on hitting his kid and those nice-sounding reasons are just excuses.

    Oh, sure.

But we still need to know the elements of provocation.

Yeah, I think all that goes out the window when he openly mocks the kid for crying while he's wiping all the blood off his face.

It's like when he wouldn't acknowledge that there has been a wrongful conviction in the last 30 years in the United States. Short of death or dismemberment, I have to imagine there is almost no beating that a parent could administer that Tony would be willing to concede here went too far.

Tony is a reliable indicator of whatever fake outrage wingnut radio has come up with that morning.

Let's take parenting advice from someone who has never procreated.

The kid had gloves on and hit back. Charge him, too.

This has the potential to be the greatest #SJParenting thread ever.
