I'm trying to do a cutout of a hockey player... how do I put shadows on him in photoshop?

Been looking all over, figured you guys could help. We have Photoshop 7 on our computers...

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Cut him out of the picture, then duplicate the layer and fill it with whatever shade you want for the shadow.

Or, use Photoshop's built-in effects generator. It's got a customizable shadow function. You'll find it under Layer-->Layer Style.

If you've got InDesign, I'd do the shadow there. If not, Gomer's way will work.
