Cutbacks and layoffs are coming in droves, and the Post wastes money on this?!?!

    Considering that anything about Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo ceased to be funny about six weeks ago, I'm not surprised you think it's hilarious.

    You probably also chortled when the Post sent a midget to ask Pedro Martinez if he needed a mascot, a la Nelson de la Rosa, at his introductory press conference with the Mets.

    Doubt the Post did that. He was hanging out with Pedro during the 2004 season.

    No, the Post did. Pedro and Nelson had a falling out, I believe, before he signed with the Mets. So this midget got on a chair and asked if Pedro needed a mascot. Pedro laughed and said no.

    Madden's the one with the (figurative) hard on for Favre, not the other way around.
