I look at Pedro, Sean Casey and Kenny Smith and wonder what current athletes would shine in a studio setting?

    Verlander on MLB network?

Would watch gronkowski...don’t think he would shine, but it would be some funny shit if he did everything except for football.

    Ice skating:
Mark Hamill: “she nailed that triple axle.”
Gronk: “I nailed her last night.”

    Golf:
Nantz: “Woods is surveying the green.”
Gronk: “like it was a perkins waitress.”

    Soccer:
Gronk: “seriously, like what is this? Ray Lewis once pinched my nuts in a pile until they bled. This guy got looked at funny and he is flopping around like a fish.”

    Tennis:
    “These chicks needs shorter skirts.”

    Baseball:
Morgan: “look at the hustle to third base
Gronk: “he’s making $12 million a year. I can tell you belichick would cut a guy who ran that slow. I once saw him piss on edelmen’s jersey at halftime because he walked back to the huddle. And Julian was still in it.”
    Morgan: “pitcher winds up.”
Gronk: “look at the tits on the blonde behind home plate.”

    Verlander and Scherzer together

  4. Gronk and Johnny Weir would be gold. Gold.

I have heard Gronk do radio interviews. He is not very quick. Not saying he is dumb, just not quick enough or clever enough to do well in the way you suggest.

    More Golf.
Nantz: And Rory comes in with a 69.
    Gronk: Hee, hee, hee, hee.

An interesting thought. I think one of the reasons you haven't seen "big names" join NFL studio shows recently is those players have made enough money where they don't need the money or the exposure. Tony Gonzales is great but didn't achieve huge fame in his career. Same with Strahan.

I think Strahan had a divorce.

But Strahan really likes being on TV too - obviously. I'm always fascinated by people who seem to "get" careers seemingly destined for other people. Think Emma Stone taking Lindsey Lohan's place, Strahan for Tiki Barber, Christian Slater for River Phoenix.

Gronk is funny, but kind of a dope. Would like to see JJ Watt or Cameron Jordan.
