    He really wasn't before. The Nuttings have had a plurality of the ownership shares for years.

    The Mavericks had some tough times in the early 1990s, much of that coming from Roy Tarpley committing himself to drug usage. Everyone forgets how good he was his first couple years in the league. They also held on to some of their prime pieces of the decent late '80s teams too long.

    The best move Cuban made was getting rid of Rick Sund.
