Pretty place. For the life of me, I have no clue why that word was Apple-X'ed on my computer though.

Having just undergone the surgery in January, she still frets about the eight-inch scar and remembers the post-op pain quite vividly.
Carr, the current mayor of New Richmond, put off her surgery for at least three years, letting doctors try injections and other therapies before opting to go under the knife. As a former EMS chief and a manager with Angels Above and Beyond home health care service, she was well-versed on the pain and rehabilitation involved, and was reluctant. She also knew, though, that she wanted to be able to play with her first granddaughter, Raegan, who was born in December.

I was chatting with a friend of mine last night and after he'd had a few he turns to me and goes, “I want your honest opinion.”

And when that comes out, it either means a one of the following questions will be asked: (a), am I ugly, why don't I have a woman? Or (b), is my woman ugly? Or (c), what should I do with my life and my woman or lack there of?

At least that's the dichotomy that I have determined based on the long conversations I have had with people at 1 a.m.

Instead, he turns to me and he goes, how good are the beavers going to be? Really.”

Before I can give him my two cents or one cent - or even dig for change in my pocket - he starts telling me how good the will be and why.

And the reasons and explanations he gave were flawless.

He cited player's attributes and statistics and recalled the roster and depth chart like it was written on the foam of his beer. That's when it hit me that alcohol and sports don't mix. And it's not what you're thinking.

Yes, everyone knows that beer and tailgating go together like a sorority girl and a digital camera. And even while fans sit in their seats, a cold beer – just makes sense.

But this is a different story. This is about clarity and that “A-ha” moment.

As I think back to all of the conversations I have ever had about sports “over a few” as people get progressively more intoxicated the easier their ability to recall sports events, players and give insightful commentary on the subject – to a point.

Meanwhile the friend of mine is still talking.

I'm worried about the middle of the field – Our defensive tackles, middle linebacker and two safeties, he said. “I like our corners, I like our outside linebackers and I like our defensive ends.”

    Okay.

“I think Keaton Kristick ill be on the outside and do a great job,” he said. “And I think Greg Laybourn – well he is the reason Bryan Payton left.”

    Really?
