    page 5. like i said, hardly any local copy. 20-page news hole. 3 local stories. on top of which, AP doesn't send that much shit over the weekends. i ended up running ... religion fucking briefs.

    At the time, I had practically just turned the computer on. Another advantage of being beyond the newspaper industry ... I don't have to be at work every Saturday night come hell, high water or act of God. :)

    The most ridiculous statement in the Huskies preview was that JR Hasty was the most heralded running back recruit to ever come to Washington. Apparently the people at Blue Ribbon have forgotten about Paul Arnold. The former Kennedy High School standout was the number 5 running back in the NATION and number 15 prospect overall. Hasty was the fifth best IN THE STATE and 67 in the West. He wasn't on any national lists.
